Though I was away for many years Thoughts of home was never far away As even I knew through my homesick tears That I was destined to return one day
The journey home has been a long one for me
But alas I am back where I belong
Surrounded by my friends and family
Never again shall I roam.
Sometimes a part of growing up
Means exploring and seeing for oneself what's there
Then you realize you have all you need
At home where everyone cares.
Though I do not regret the things I have saw
The places I have been shall always bring a smile
But home is where my heart truly calls
Happily I walk that extra mile
